Curiosity's Progress to Glenelg

The speakers at today's audio teleconference showed Curiosity's current progress on her way to Glenelg. The images can also be found on the MSL Telecon page. She will remain at this location for about a week to fine tune the motions of the arm. If you've ever "calibrated" a joystick for your computer you will understand why this is necessary. The current settings were done for conditions on the Earth where gravity is greater. The rover has to have a particular orientation relative to the Sun for proper setup conditions.
