Autocorrelation of the Anomaly

A study of the autocorrelation of the difference between the land northern hemisphere anomaly and its 5-year average shows some correlation between one month and the next amounting to about 0.291. This may indicate a damped random walk in the anomaly data. There is also an annual correlation which may be due to the variation in the standard deviation for the months.
